Sound the alarm bells Everyone! I tried a new ice cream place last night and my mind was blown. It was called Crepe and Spoon, and it is located in Minneapolis, MN. All of the ice cream flavors are dairy free and they had many gluten free flavors as well. But that is not the most exciting part. The most exciting part is that they make their own gluten free waffle cones! I had not had a waffle cone for years and was so excited to try one again. It was so delicious and I cannot wait to go back and bring Brooke. My roommate found this spot after we went to dinner last night and needless to say we will be go back very soon. I hope you all have a great week and from my kitchen to yours: share a smile a stranger and be well this week.
Until next time,
Brynn

I am the goalies mom and here is what I would say about following a gluten free diet: 1) never start a diet without talking to your doctor first
2) if it is recommended for you, get an appointment with a dietitian to make sure you are still eating a balanced diet. This is important. Whenever you eliminate something from your diet you need to ensure you aren’t missing key nutrients.
3) don’t make the decision lightly, it’s restrictive, it can be isolating, requires a ton of thought, and educating yourself the rest of the world on the seriousness of your needs can be exhausting. I would have never chosen this for the girls and myself if it wasn’t medically necessary.
4) above all else when you go gluten free for medical needs there is no “cheat day”. You are all in.
So good luck friends,
Mom
